Obituary for Goldie Boliard
Goldie J. Boliard, 78, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, May 8, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery.
Goldie was born October 11, 1944, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Everett I. and Helen (Gillespie) Hayes. She married Arthur A. Boliard, Jr. on October 17, 1965. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1988.
Goldie was a stay-at-home mom. She then worked at Mr. Donut for almost 10 years, and later at Dollar General for over 20 years. She enjoyed photography and was an amateur photographer, and also enjoyed camping and bowling. Goldie was a Girl Scout Leader when her daughter was younger.
She is survived by her children: Arthur (Joan) Boliard III of Decatur, and Kathleen Brooks of Macon; grandchildren: Kennieth (Alisha) Brooks, Sean Boliard, Zachuery Boliard, Nathan Comp, Robert Comp; great grandchildren: Skylar, Willie, Seanna, Summer, Rima, Kazmia, and Octavia Reign; and sister, Malinda (Curt) Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and great grandson, Elijah.
